Folders 1-2: snapshot photographs and real photograph postcards of scenes of United States Army camp life in various Texas locations along the Mexican-American border during the Mexican Revolution. Photographs depict soldiers on and off duty. Locations depicted include Corpus Christi, Harlingen and Roma. U.S. Generals John J. Pershing and Frederick Funston are depicted in a few snapshots. Also includes photographs of Mexican soldiers and civilians along the border region. Folder 3: American flag; love letter from soldier; group photograph of unidentified family on ship; original album covers.

Frederick Funston, U.S. Army General, was born in 1865 and died in 1917. He fought in Cuba in 1896 with the Cubans, and in the Philippine Campaign, capturing their leader, Emilio Aguinaldo.
